Tips for natural bodybuilding

The rules of natural bodybuilding

Several organizations today are involved in the sport of Natural Bodybuilding and the rules vary from one to the other. The largest of these organizations is the International Association for Natural Bodybuilding (INBA). They are also known to be the strictest with their guidelines. Their mission is to make the sport completely drug free and, in their effort to achieve the goal, they follow the rules established by the International Olympic Committee and the World Anti-Doping sarm Canada.

There are several other organizations that promote the sport, including INBF (International Federation of Natural Bodybuilding), NPA (Association of Natural Physicists), NGA (National Association of Gyms), NANBF (North American Federation of Natural Bodybuilding), NPC (National Committee of Physical Fitness ) and OCB (Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders). Everyone has their own set of guidelines, and the testing methods can range from polygraph to urine tests to blood tests.

The practices

Since there are so many organizations that practice a single sport, there are likely to be contradictions and also gaps in the system that one can fix. Many bodybuilders actually used these gaps to participate in competitions. People who did not have the best physique claimed to be natural bodybuilders. They couldn't make it to the big league and tried to fit into the new league. Many companies also jumped on the bandwagon when they perceived a new business opportunity. With a large market to tap, this became a very promising business proposition. What was lost in all that was the real reason behind the new sport.

However, the good news is that there has been a continuing interest in the sport from honest people who want a suitable physique and who are not interested in experimenting with drugs to achieve it. This large segment has helped the sport to survive and prosper. A natural bodybuilder in the true sense of the term will never attempt banned substances. And when we say never, it means you shouldn't have experimented with banned substances even before being introduced to sports. This is crucial because many of the anabolic steroids and growth-inducing hormones leave a permanent effect on the body that can never be reversed.

Things to avoid

Before embarking on natural bodybuilding, one of the first things you should know is what exactly to avoid. You may get advice from a friend about a new medication, sometimes even the coach can suggest something. They will not always be right with their opinion. Therefore, to ensure that you are not mistaken, you must know for yourself what substances you should stay away from. Below, we've listed some of the most popular substances that bodybuilders regularly use to gain an unfair advantage.

Hormones that promote muscle growth:

anabolic steroids (AS)
-human growth hormone (HGH)
-any anabolic prohormones, prosteroids or steroid precursors

Experimental products that promote muscle growth:

selective androgen receptor modulators (MRSA)
gene doping
-muscle stem cells
myostatin inhibitors

Erythropoietin (EPO)

Stimulants like amphetamines.

This is just a basic list of things to avoid. If you want to have a more complete list and make sure you have no chance of being cheated, follow what the International Olympic Committee or the World Anti-Doping Association has on their website.

Many people, in their quest to obtain the perfect body, forget that it is something that requires time and patience and that there are no shortcuts. And if there is one, it is not necessarily suitable for the body. To get a well-defined body, all you need is a proper healthy diet and regular gym workouts following a smart exercise routine.
